At the beginning of the lecture, the professor spoke about the basic points of public administration and the government system in order to form a foundation for further in-depth understanding of the intricacies of the subject.
The main part of the lecture was a description of the structure of government, the features of the interaction of elements of the government system and the basic principles of constructing the above in general terms.
The topic was illustrated with the example how the US Constitution regulates the activities of the president, Congress and the judicial system, structure and functioning of the presidency and congress were in general examined.

At the end of the lecture, a questions were raised about the technological aspect and how it change the government methods, and questions about the possible implementation of systems electoral system with electronic votes.
During the discussion, the issue of climate change that is important both for political and public administration as a whole, and for each individual person in the word and many others questions were also rised.
AIWS Leadership Master Program students were very inspired by communication with Professor Thomas Patterson, and they are looking forward to meeting again.
